It marks the end of one of the five pillars of Islam – the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca.

But events in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere are quite different this year because of COVID-19.

About 1.8 billion Muslims celebrate Eid amid a pandemic that has so far infected more than 16 million people.
